As we continue this series on the War on Christianity, (in America primarily, but in Western Civilization on a whole), the role of Charles Darwin and his Theory of Evolution in this war can not be ignored. Maniacs, mass murderers, mad scientists and increasingly more and more American schools and colleges are in the same company as they follow this Godless “theology” to the detriment of society. Our children and grandchildren to come will be reaping the whirlwind from all of the work of this man. (Darwin was a British naturalist who started a movement with a book in 1859 which has corrupted worldwide systems, civilization and even some in the church.)
I will explain the Theory of Evolution and Natural Selection (survival of the fittest) in an upcoming column called “The Bible and Intelligent Design”. What is new here is a list of the notorious people of History who picked up on Darwin’s Origin of the Species and Evolution and twisted it to justify their murderous reigns of terror etc!!
When one thinks of Communism, the first thing that comes to mind is an Atheistic society. Karl Marx, a German Jew (real name: Mordecai Levi!)who made friendly overtures to Darwin to get him aboard his leftist theories was the main culprit here. When Marx wrote his “DAS KAPITAL” – the handbook of evil communism, he wrote to Darwin, whom he idolized! Marx wanted Darwin to allow him to dedicate “Das Kapital” to Darwin! Darwin refused and became a bit unsettled about what his theories had wrought!
It is a testimony to the popularity of Darwin’s theories in upper-class political, social and scientific circles at the time, that men like Marx, Engels and others glommed on to his theory. The Englishman Darwin and the German Karl Marx were just extensions of a continent gone cold to Christ. The 18th Century Age of Reason and its Rejection of Biblical Christianity had turned Europe into a fertile ground for the enemy of old to sow heresy into the world. Marx was from a long line of Jewish rabbinical scholars who saw his businessman father join the German Lutheran church to get business! He later called Religion “the opiate (or hallucinogenic drug) of the Masses.”
(About Darwin, certain liberal Christians and theologians have been spreading untruth which says Darwin was converted to the Lord on his deathbed. This is absolutely WRONG! His own son Francis and daughter Henrietta said he died an atheist! So do not believe this from people who want to have a foot in both worlds! One can not be pro-evolution and an Elect of Christ at the same time, period!)
Why so much about Karl Marx in this introduction to Evolution’s Evil Empire now in full bloom? Well, Marxist communism was studied in Karjan University in Russia by a grandson of a Russian Jewish nobleman who abandoned Judaism for Christianity and changed his name from Srul Moishevich Blank to Aleksandr Dmietrivich. This grandson’s name was Vladimir Ulyanov (aka Lenin)!! Between Lenin and his successor Josef Stalin, they killed over 30,000,000 people in the name of Communism in Russia alone BEFORE 1950!! Russia is still a Godless thriving rat hole because of its trading in weapons and technology to terrorist Muslim states. All these men were avid Evolutionists! They lay in wait for the Wrath of the Living God, knowing it is coming right at them!
Adolph Hitler is known to have believed in Social Darwinism and especially Eugenics. Eugenics is a vile philosophy developed by Darwin’s cousin Sir Francis Galton in 1865. It preached racial hygiene, human experimentation and extermination of certain people groups!! Galton is one of the most despicable figures in history but you would never hear Evolutions talk about him or the fact that he got his Theory from his cousin’s book “The Origins of the Species”!!
Eugenics lost its luster in the World War II era when the evil Nazis began their racial and ethnic extermination of over 6 Million Jews. Here is what Hitler wrote about Evolution in his own book “Mein Kampf” (My Life): "permanent struggle is the law of life, and struggle between `a superior race' and `an inferior one' brings `an evolutionary higher stage.' (Hitler A., "Mein Kamp", 1939 pp 222)The man followed that to the hilt in his plans to wipe out everyone except his concept of racial purity and a superior Aryan Race. He believed Darwin’s natural selection and used Darwin’s cousin Galton’s Eugenics to accomplish it
Hitler had a lot of company here in the United States. Margaret Sanger is the founder of the pro-abortion industry through Planned Parenthood. She began Planned Parenthood (first called the American Birth Control League) to accomplish the goals of Eugenics in 1921 and wrote her own manifesto called “The Pivot of Civilization”. In it she said the following: “Birth Control which has been criticized as negative and destructive, is really the greatest and most truly eugenic method, and its adoption as part of the program of Eugenics would immediately give a concrete and realistic power to that science. . . as the most constructive and necessary of the means to racial health” (Margaret Sanger. The Pivot of Civilization. Brentano's Press, NY, 1922, p 189.)
Not only was Sanger pro-abortion and pro-forced sterilization for poor women but she was for forced segregation of the races here in the US! Her board of directors was full of Nazi sympathizers. One of them was Dr. Lothrop Stoddard who once wrote an article praising Nazi sterilization law and an avowed racist.
In 1933 Margaret Sanger’s house publication used its presses to support Nazi propaganda. Here is a part of what she printed by Dr. Ernst Rudin ( who was Hitler’s director of genetic sterilization and founder of the Nazi Society for Racial Hygiene) “The danger to the community of the unsegregated feeble-minded woman is more evident. Most dangerous are the middle and high grades living at large who, despite the fact that their defect is not easily recognizable, should nevertheless be prevented from procreation. . . In my view we should act without delay” (Birth Control Review; Volume 17 Number 4, April 1933 pg 104)
Planned Parenthood would like to run from their murderous Nazi association of the past but God is keeping score on this. They are responsible for who knows how many abortions and unborn babies; as well as for creating a culture of death now showing itself in Euthanasia and other pro-death movements!
When the Culture of Life is diminished because influential elites in power anywhere have rejected the Words of a Holy God and sought the counsel of man, wide is the way to destruction.
This passage written by Moses in Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 (NKJV) is so important, that we have to quote it in its entirety. It describes the rich words (and warnings) from God about how to have a life and live it in abundance:
11 “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us that we may hear it and do it?’ 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us that we may hear it and do it?’ 14 but the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 16 in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. 19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
So way back in 1859 with Charles Darwin’s Origins of the Species Evolution Theory and with his cousin Francis Galton’s Eugenics abomination, which took Evolution to its next step, the culture of death began. Hundreds of born and unborn millions were killed because of these men and those they influenced like Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Margaret Sanger.
While all of this killing was going on, the church and the majority of Christians and the church remained silent!
While the elite were perpetrating the entire takeover of the American educational system to force this satanic evolutionary system and make it gospel, the majority of Christians and the church remained silent.
While U.S. Supreme Court Justice and noted anti-Christian and atheist Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. made some of the most outrageous statements about human life. (He once said "Doesn't this squashy sentimentality of a big minority of our people about human life make you puke?"1WOW!!! He was a premier Social Darwinist and would have been celebrated by the liberal elite today as an enlightened man)…the majority of Christians and the church back then remained silent!
Now to be fair, until the 20 million plus Evangelicals gained political prominence as a force in the 1980’s with the election of Ronald Reagan, that power was not directed in the correct place; i.e. to direct public policy. This explains the unbridgeable divide today between the Pro-Life Christian movement and everybody else. However today we have the children of many Evangelicals now thinking like their baby boomer and Generation X parents that one can believe in both Creation and Evolution!
This is one of the bad fruit of what Darwin started in 1859. Biblical Teaching is so woefully inadequate in today’s modern church, it has become very scary! So many churches, including some seemingly serious ones, are more concerned with filling up pews with numbers and checking accounts; they have forgotten why Christ formed us as a body!
Moses said it succinctly. In Verse 15-17 above, he says “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
1. The choice is clear: Life and Good or Death and Evil. No middle ground; no compromise! Absolute Truth.
2. LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD. This could not be clear. It does not just mean to feel good towards HIM, but to fear, respect, submit and bow down before Him. It means to consult, seek and worship Him in all things, at all times. This is True Love, my friends.
3. WALK IN HIS WAYS. His Way is narrow, rough, and full of valleys and mountains and sometimes covered in ice when we have bald tires. But take heart, He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. When we walk through the Valley of the Shadow of death, fear NO evil, for He is with us. Why fear no evil. Because it is the SHADOW of death. It ain’t real (pardon my French). A Shadow can not hurt you! Walk in His Ways. Where can we find the roadmap? - THE BIBLE!!
4. KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS! Read Psalm 119 all the way through! It is the longest chapter in the Bible, but reading through it in one sitting will change your life! All 176 verses. Do not let it intimidate you! By reading this Psalm, we will see a man who loves the Word of God and the Law so much; I think he would die for it! What kind of love is this??!! I wish I had that kind of love for the Law and strive for it! We are not judged by the Commandments or the Law because since the Resurrection, we have been brought into Christ under the Doctrine of Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone. But the Commandments are parameters to keep us from dishonoring Him who is eternally Holy.
5. HIS STATUTES AND HIS JUDGMENTS. Again Psalm 119 is so rich that the writer shows us by his example how to love the Word of the LORD and to keep it. Over and over again, he writes about how much he loves it and trusts the LORD when things go sideways. In those times, the writer (the Holy Spirit inspired writer) says “Revive me according to Thy Word”. The LORD wants us here to TRUST His Word for Revival of Spirit, Revival of self and Revival of the body of Christ. His Word is Truth. If we trust His Word, we trust Christ. Christ IS THE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1; 1 John 1:1 and Revelation 19:13).
6. THAT YOU MAY LIVE AND MULTIPLY AND THE LORD WILL BLESS YOU. Here are the benefits! There is nowhere in this universe where a Promise like this can be made and expected to be kept! God is not only true to His Word, but His word as well. Most people fall and give up somewhere in points 3-5…right before the time of trial is due to be over or the dawn is about to break! We all have done this sometime in the past before we were sanctified and washed in His Victory. If we persevere, as the Saints we are, Joy Comes in the Morning! We will live! We will live in Victory and our blessings will multiply beyond our wildest expectations! I am seeing it right now in my own Spiritual life where it would take 3 books over the next 3 years, as planned, to spread the Gospel and explain these blessings!
So choose wisely and CHOOSE LIFE, my friends! And choose it well! AMEN!
Many other heresies began in the 19th Century which helped accelerate the weakening of the foundation of the Modern American church as we continue to examine how the enemy has been so successful in attacking Christianity in 21st Century America. It would NOT be possible to explain the entire background of this War without naming names. Some may think it inappropriate to call out certain sects or denominations.
Why not? I spent the entire last column exposing one of our PREMIER Evangelists – Charles Finney! He is still revered by our leading preachers like Billy Graham, Jerry Falwell and others….all people I love and respect. So there is no sacred cow when Christ’s True church is involved.
The 19th Century did see the beginnings of some new variations of Christianity which are not totally Biblically based. Briefly here are some and a short history.
THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS
The Seventh Day Adventists began as the Millerite Movement (founded by farmer William Miller) around 1843. They had calculations based on the Book of Daniel (the 1260 days theory) which said Christ was due to return in 1844! When that prediction failed to materialize, the Millerites lost credibility and were attacked by of all people, a new rising sect from Nauvoo, Illinois led by one William and one Joseph Smith – the founders of the Mormon Religion!
The Millerites were around for 20 more years after the false prediction, floundering on a doctrine of Saturday as the Sabbath until their name was changed in 1863 to the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
There are some serious Doctrinal flaws which are Biblically non-negotiable for Christ’s Elect. But the following affect almost 15 million Adventist worldwide members and we should be concerned about this sad state of affairs. Here are the beliefs of this religious body:
1. They believe in ‘soul sleep’ where the dead are unconscious in sleep and there is NO immortal soul!! Jesus talked about the ‘worm which never dies’ (Mark 9:44)! This belief is not found in Scripture.
2. They believe in Annihilation! This means the wicked will not be thrown into the lake of Fire as said in the Bible, but destroyed forever. Jesus talked about Hell more than He did of Heaven!
3. They believe humanity is involved in a “great controversy” between Jesus and Satan. We are in war against the prince of this world, but there is no controversy! Jesus won at the Cross!
These are the major differences and they are significant as they all have eternal consequences. They also show why Doctrine is important because we can not resist the evil of a fallen world, when our belief system is not lined up with those of Almighty God!! It is as simple as that! Proverbs 15:29 (NIV) says "The LORD is far from the wicked but He hears the prayer of the righteous."
We have to believe the correct things about God, Christ, the Bible, Heaven, Hell and eternity!
THE CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAYS SAINTS
The word Mormon comes from a belief by the Church of the Latter Day Saints (LDS) which says a prophet around 300 AD was sent by God to record the deeds of God and His people into a book! When this prophet Mormon died, his son Moroni allegedly buried the book in a hill in what is now upstate New York after witnessing the complete destruction of his people!
There is no record of this event in independent history as there is with the secular Historian Josephus about the Old Testament and his eyewitness about Christ. This book was discovered 1400 years later when God sent Moroni back from Heaven (!!) to talk to Joseph Smith and lead him to the spot where the book was and translate it into English. This became the Book of Mormon and it carries the same weight to the LDS folks as the Bible.
Unfortunately Joseph Smith was murdered by an unruly mob in Carthage, Illinois in 1844 and the Mormons decided to move to Salt Lake Valley (now Utah) with the new president of their religion – Brigham Young.
The controversial beliefs of Mormons or LDS members are self explanatory without comment from me! They exhibit again why Doctrine is important and Truth must be believed for the Lord to answer our prayers!
1. The Bible itself says it is a closed document (re: the Book of Mormon)! Jesus Himself said in Revelation 22: 18-19 :’For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book”. Emphasis mine. 2
2. The Mormons believe there are three degrees of Heaven. The first, or the lower level of heaven, is known as the telestial glory. This degree of heaven is held for those "who received not the gospel of Christ, neither the testimony of Jesus," but who, nevertheless, did not deny the Holy Spirit. The Telestial Kingdom is for those who chose wickedness over godliness. The second degree of heaven is the terrestrial glory. This level is held for those "who, though honorable, failed to comply with the requirements for exaltation, were blinded by the craftiness of men and unable to receive and obey the higher laws of God." Likewise, it is for those who rejected Christ in mortal life but accepted Him afterwards. The third, or the highest level, of heaven is that of the celestial. This degree is held for those who have received the Temple ordinances. They have been married in the Temple for all time and eternity and they are gods!!! 3
3. Mormons believe that Forgiveness comes through the faith and good works of the sinner....conditioned on individual effort" (J.E. Talmage, AoF, p.87-9). This diminishes the finished work of Christ on the Cross and defies authorized inspired Scripture! Romans 11:6 says “But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace. 4
4. Mormons believe Baptism and believe he who is baptized is saved!! Therefore, he who is not baptized is condemned! Nowhere is there mention anywhere in the Bible about this untruth. They also believe remission of sins comes to the repentant believer through baptism, when it is performed by divine direction and under divine authority! Because of this, they trace their genealogies through people who died from Christ’s time until now and claim Salvation for all these people by proxy Baptist or retroactive Baptism of the Dead!! This is self-explanatory too! AMEN? 5
5. Mormons do not believe in Justification (being made righteous) by Faith! Here is what Brigham Young himself said: “Will the water [of baptism] of itself wash them [sins] away? No; but keeping the commandments of God will cleanse away the stain of sin." (Discourses of Brigham Young, p.159). Where have we heard that before??!! The Pharisees!! 6
There is no need to proceed further. The reader can make up his own mind here.
JEHOVAH WITNESSES
Charles Taze Russell, who many called a child molester and a conman, began a Bible study group in the late 1870’s called Bible Students. Soon afterwards, he renounced Biblical Christianity! He refused to believe the Trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is blasphemy itself! Jesus said there is no forgiveness for those who blaspheme against the Spirit (but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin: Mark 3:29)
Not just that, he did not believe in the doctrine of Hell! I have enclosed the entire statement of their beliefs because these door to door salesmen (like their founder Russell) are very persistent and annoying. They do not take no for an answer. Unlike the gentle and peaceable Mormons who do not seek confrontation, Jehovah Witnesses would get in your face and confront you.
I had that same experience with one of them years ago on the streets of Hartford, Connecticut. This brother debated me on the Holy Spirit for about 15 minutes while I tried to walk away from him!

Go to Mr. Slick’s website www.carm.org and read the abomination about Jesus these people preach and believe! We would not want to be accountable for that on Judgment Day if we stick our heads in the sand and say ‘everyone has a right to believe what they wish’. This is fine in a societal sense. When personally confronted with heresy though, we are duty bound to correct it, period!
On this website, read what they believe about Jesus as well! This way, we will be armed if one of them knocks on our door and we can offer them a Gospel tract and engage them in the Truth. They are sadly misled and in danger of hell. We are in a position to show them the way to a true relationship with Christ.
CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS 8
Mary Baker Eddy lived in Lynn, Mass. In 1862 she was very ill and sought treatment by a man named Phineas Quimby, a magnetic healer from Maine who had very strange scientific sounding ideas about healing. Eddy was temporarily healed and spent the next three years studying the Bible and the development of “Christian Science.” She convinced herself illness is just an illusion which can be cured by the ‘clearer perception of God’. This kind of scientific healing defines God as a Principle beyond the physical parameters of reality….hence the term “Christian Scientist”.
These folks do not believe in regular medicine like the rest of us do. In fact every once in a while we hear about some judge, somewhere, forcing a Christian Scientist to send their child for chemotherapy etc.
They DO NOT believe in the Deity of Christ!! How Mary Baker Eddy could study the Bible for three years and not see this is beyond comprehension….that is, unless we believe as we should in the Election of the Saints! She was blinded and led many into her spiritually blind world. Without the Deity of Christ, the rest is all academic and mumbo jumbo.
She and the Christian Scientists believe in their convoluted theory of Matter not being a God-created substance but a limited mode of human perception which blames God for everything. Eddy studied the Bible with scientific healing theories in mind and came up with her own theology. Everything they do is based around this theory which is not worth getting into.
They are prominent in society in certain quarters. The Christian Science Monitor is a well known respected daily newspaper, but their influence is limited.
There are various other small strange cults which claimed Christianity in the 19th Century but had minimal effect on the body so as to damage it.
The larger problem is the effect of Darwinism, now woven completely into every strata of American society, including the church. In effect certain aspects of the Body of Christ are helping the enemy destroy us from within and it can be traced back to Charles Darwin and the Age of Reason. Just like ancient Israel, only a complete destruction by the Master Himself – Jesus Christ – will cleanse this world. His Elect are protected, so we who are called by His Name have no fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
If Jesus were to return to claim His own and as the Bible says, “riding on white horse with the sword in His Hand and the armies of Heaven dressed in white linen” (read Revelation 19: 11-15) would you be counted as His? If not, DON’T WAIT, DON’T LINGER! THE HOUR OF REDEMPTION MAY BE AT HAND! DO NOT TAKE THE CHANGE AND PUT IT OFF UNTIL TOMORROW! TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME!
